Merish3 has a software that is constantly evolving and many issues can be solved simply by updating the machine. That is why we invite you to do so following the procedure we described in this page.
After you have copied a few bases using the PC-USB connection, or many bases (several hundred) from the USB pen, Merish3 needs to reconstruct all the information for the search function.
This reconstruction procedure is called
Database Rebuilding, and it is done this way:
1- In the main screen, touch on SETUP
2- Touch on Database
3- Touch on Rebuild Database – HD
This operation may take several minutes (depends on the amount of bases in the internal memory)
You need to do a database rebuilding. If the base of the database is found without information, the name of the base file will be displayed in the list. This is because the base does not contain any information inside it, you can add information by clicking on the left (midi / mp3) icon and inserting it through the screen.
You need to do a database rebuilding.
Merish3 analyzes all bases before playing them, to avoid blocking during execution. If you do not pass this analysis for safety, avoid reproducing it.
It may happen that some MIDI files are wrongly interpreted as corrupt. If you are sure of this, send them to us by using the contact page, noting that they are files that don’t work.
Merish plays MP3s with higher bitrates at 64kb / sec
(do you want to know what is it?) and sampling rate 44.1Khz or 48KHz. Having files that do not meet these requirements means having low-quality MP3s.
If you want to convert your MP3 you can use this software for PC, that allows you to convert your files for Merish3.
The Playlist is a list of songs to play: Merish3 stores the location in the internal memory of the bases in the list. If, after making the playlist / gateways / renames one of the bases, Merish3 will no longer be able to find it, it will report this situation in advance with a red exclamation mark.
This problem has already been resolved and probably Merish3 software is not up to date. We suggest you follow the update guide in this procedure. If such situations happen to you, we suggest you to do a database rebuilding.

This depended on the number of bases in a single folder: in general, however, it is good practice not to put too many bases in a single folder (it is recommended not to exceed 1,000 bases per folder).
Absolutely not! Inside the Merish3 archive there is the software and the information that is needed for its operation. If you format your internal memory with the USB connection, you will cause a malfunction that may require the machine to return to recovery assistance! If you want to completely reset the machine, use the software Merish Manager and follow this procedure:
1- Download this software in your PC and install it
2- Connect via USB the PC-IN port of Merish3 with the USB ports of your PC, then turn on Merish3. On the Merish3 display you will see the screen with the Italian and English flags
3- Launch the program “Merish Manager”
4- Click on Reinstall the operative system and delete the bases
Verify that you have used the correct power adapter. Merish3 needs a 12VDC / 2000mA power supply. Warning! Merish2, Merish Plus or Okyfly power supplies are not compatible.
Some system files, needed to operate Merish have been altered / moved / deleted / corrupted. To solve this, there is a PC-Windows software called Merish Manager which restores the Merish3 operating system. This is the procedure:
1- Download this software in your PC and install it
2- Connect via USB the PC-IN port of Merish3 with the USB ports of your PC, then turn your Merish3 on. On the Merish3 display you will see the screen with the Italian and English flags
3- Launch your Merish Manager program
4- Click on Reinstall the operative system
This will take a few minutes and will install Merish3 on the latest operating system release without delete your bases.
When the procedure ends:
1- turn your Merish3 off
2- unplug your Merish3 from your PC
3- turn your Merish3 on again
4- when the main screen appears again, do a database rebuilding.
Probably Merish3 is not updated to the latest operating system version and many bases (over 1,000) have been copied to the Merish3 root folder (called root) by using the connection to the PC. To remedy, always using the connection to the PC, create a folder on the root and move all bases (or a part of them) inside. For optimum operation of the machine it is good not to store more than 200-300 bases on the root.
You may not know that Merish 3 has a Help on Line explaining its features and is accessible in real time by pressing and holding the Enter key for more than 2 seconds. After that, every key that you touch, every potetiometer you move every button on display LCD you tap, Merish 3 will display a window explaining how it works.
The Hard Disk can be powered or not, but MUST be formatted ExFAT (ONLY for old hard drives or windows XP you can use FAT32, but we still recommend ExFAT). Merish3 is NOT compatible with NTFS formatting. If you want to know how to format an HD or a USB pen read here.
When you’re on the list that shows the songs, just tap the MIDI logo or the MP3 logo on the left of the list row: the info screen will open. Touching the various fields (title, interpreter, genre, etc.) opens the keyboard to change the content. (We suggest connecting a USB PC keyboard to simplify this type of operation).
In the latest versions of Merish3 software, the 100-bed limit on the Quick List was introduced, precisely because this must be a “fast” list. To recover the bases, simply connect the Merish to the PC and copy the bases within the “Quicklist” folder to another folder.

You can record an Mp3 directly, even using the 4 audio inputs and the integrated mixer. By modifying the Midi Files as you like, you can create custom Mp3 bases in minutes..
Show on the display or TV the accordions of the musical bases, both as an acronym, or in a graphic version such as guitar tablature or keyboard symbols.
You can write the lyrics on Midi or Mp3 that are out of it. Text can be imported from .txt files and synced in minutes.
